Biggest Transfer Saga of the Season: Former Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier could still leave St James’ Park after losing his place to Tino Livramento; Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Eyupsor interested in season-long loan while Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad have tried to sign 33-year-old

Kieran Trippier may depart from Newcastle within the next two weeks as several Turkish and Saudi Arabian clubs continue to negotiate a potential transfer.
Sky Sports News reports that the Turkish Super Lig teams Fenerbahce, Besiktas, and Eyupsor have all approached Newcastle about taking Trippier on loan with an option to purchase, following his single substitute appearance in the first three Premier League matches of the season.
Al Ittihad has also shown interest in signing him; however, with the Saudi transfer deadline approaching on Monday night, that possibility now seems improbable.
Trippier’s current contract with the club in the Northeast has two years remaining.
The Turkish transfer window is set to close on September 13, and it appears that all three offers from Super Lig clubs are willing to cover most of Trippier’s wages from Newcastle, potentially making him one of the top earners in Turkey’s premier league.
Newcastle rejected a significant £15m offer from Bayern Munich for Trippier back in January.
Now 33, Trippier is eager to secure regular first-team play and has recently retired from international football to concentrate on his club career.
While he is not actively seeking a departure from St James’ Park and maintains a strong bond with Eddie Howe, Trippier is evidently upset about being replaced as the starting right back by Tino Livramento, who has just earned his first senior England call-up.
Newcastle insists on keeping Trippier, valuing his leadership in the dressing room, even though he isn’t getting much playtime.
Following a challenging transfer window, where they failed to secure top target Marc Guehi and a last-minute deal for Anthony Elanga of Nottingham Forest worth up to £50m, Newcastle fans would likely view Trippier’s loan exit as another blow.

Biggest Transfer Saga of the Season says Carra: I feel for Newcastle after tough window
Jamie Carragher of Sky Sports, speaking before Newcastle’s victory over Tottenham on Super Sunday, expressed sympathy for Newcastle, noting that their financial influx may have come at an inopportune time due to Financial Fair Play rules. The club is working on increasing revenue through sponsorships.
Carragher suggested that Newcastle might need to sell a major player for £100m to £120m and repeat this process for a few years to increase revenue, allowing them to recruit better players at lower costs, as they did with Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak, and Anthony Gordon.
He shared that he wasn’t concerned about Newcastle’s prospects of winning trophies given the current financial constraints. However, he highlighted the pressure on CEO Darren Eales and Sporting Director Paul Mitchell to perform without losing Manager Eddie Howe, who is widely regarded as the leading candidate for the England managerial position and may leave if dissatisfied.
