Cesc Fabregas’ Financial Woes, the manager of Como, which has yet to secure a win this season, faces mounting challenges. The former Arsenal captain has become the subject of an eviction request, complicating his situation further.
Arsenal icon Cesc Fabregas and his family are reportedly at risk of being evicted from their luxury Swiss apartment over £30,000 in unpaid bills.
Fabregas is currently manager of Serie A side Como, helping them to promotion from the Italian second tier last season. But it has been a difficult campaign in the top-flight for the Spaniard’s side, despite a summer recruitment drive.
Como remain winless and in the Serie A relegation zone, while they were also knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Serie B’s bottom club Sampdoria. And things now look set to go from bad to worse for Fabregas.
The Spaniard has been renting an apartment in Switzerland, for around £7,100 per month. But he is now due in court after the landlord filed an eviction request against the Como boss and his family.

That is according to LiberaTV, who claim Fabregas has accrued rent arrears in the region of £30,000. The Spanish icon and his family have been living in a luxury lakeside apartment in the Swiss town of Bissone, a 40-minute drive from Como.
But bills have risen ‘various expenses’, including electricity, with the report claiming Fabregas did not take out a subscription with local electric company. That means he now owes his landlord 34,000 francs.
The landlord has claimed Fabregas has ignored his warnings and failed to respond to letters. He has now taken the case to district court, filing an eviction request against Fabregas and his family.
If Fabregas is found guilty, the police would have the power to evict him, his wife Daniella Semaan, and their five children – Maria, Joseph, Lia, Capri and Leonardo – out of the Bissone property. The landlord told LiberaTV: “We even tried to contact his lawyer, but on this front too, nothing to be done.”
Fabregas’ lawyers have hit back at the claims of an impending eviction for their client though. They said: “All the rent payments until now have been made in full. Some were not made on time, as there were numerous faults and problems with the building.”
While his problems off the pitch may have been sorted, Fabregas’ problems on it are growing. A 2-2 draw with Bologna on Saturday has left Como 18th in Serie A, despite a summer that saw Raphael Varane, Pepe Reina, Sergi Roberto and Andrea Belotti all arrive. Fabregas though is refusing to worry.
